SENIOR MANAGEMENT
James and Tim have worked together onshore and offshore for over a decade. Working first as engineers together in offices and shipyards around Southeast Asia, and latterly managing companies as the senior directors.
Tim Wood
Director, Co-founderTim is naval architect with 22 years’ experience in offshore engineering. As the previous managing director of a leading UK oil and gas engineering consultancy company, Tim has a proven track record of growing businesses and teams to successfully execute high-value construction projects in the energy industry.
James Diddams
Director, Co-founderJames is a structural engineer who has worked in the aviation and marine industries for more than 18 years. Having worked extensively across the renewable energy and oil and gas sectors, he brings vast experience in the management of multi-stakeholder teams, all aspects of technical design and in the execution and delivery of complex engineering projects.

Khin Sanda Win
Advisor and Project PartnerSanda is the founder and managing director of the Sanda Hotel & Services, and has more than 24 years’ hospitality industry experience in Myanmar and Thailand. The recipient of multiple international awards for business, and the development of socially-themed projects, Sanda has been instrumental in assisting Achelous Energy in the development of its Innovate UK grant funded prototype project in Myanmar.
John Zamick
Advisor and key investorJohn has spent most of his professional career in business development, in the computer industry and renewable energy. He has successfully set-up and sold several companies, and is now one of the founder-directors of Distgen, which develops local-scale onshore wind installation projects in the UK. As the first investor in Achelous Energy, Johns lends constant strategic and practical support to the company.
Mike McGeever
Advisor and key investorMike has over 35 years’ experience in the military, facilities and securities sectors. He was previously the Managing Director and founder of Transguard Group LLC, a UAE based Securities and Facilities Management company and one of the largest security companies in the world. Mike is a key early-stage investor, and provides strategic and financial advice to the company, as well as keeping an excellent contacts book!
Neil Carmichael
Advisor25-years international oil and gas experience with Shell, culminating in leading the company’s business development in SE Asia. Neil is now a non-executive director at Pacific Green Technology.
Neil advises Achelous Energy with regards to business strategy and opportunities in SE Asia, and has a wealth of knowledge in the energy sector.
